|NAIFA P+P Workshops are Designed for Advisors in Every Phase of Their Career
The program for NAIFA’s Performance + Purpose in San Antonio, September 13-16 offers a wider array of workshops designed to appeal to a new group of advisors. For years, the NAIFA Annual Conference has focused largely on association business, but the transition to the NAIFA Performance + Purpose conference continues with nearly 30 educational workshops presented by experts from across the industry.
The expanded workshop schedule includes a new a track of sessions provided by the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP), a special workshop from GAMA International, and a breakfast and workshop hosted by Women in Insurance and Financial Services (WIFS). NAIFA has dedicated the P+P event to serving the professional development needs and creating a community for every advisor from the newest member of the Young Advisor Team (YAT) to the most experienced and successful advisor.
There are workshops for multiline agents such as Perry Olson’s “Aligning Performance in a Multiline Agency.” Succession Planning will also be a hot topic during this conference. Michael DiCenso will discuss the different aspects, types, structures, and opportunities for the successful succession of your firm during “Succession Planning – Hires/Partnership/Mergers/Acquisitions.” Van Mueller promises to draw a large crowd with “How to Be Successful and Significant.”
Disability insurance will also be an area of focus for a couple of presenters who will share personal stories. In “While She Was Sleeping,” Jeff Kyle tells a personal story about the need for disability insurance and will give tips on how to sell it. Thomas Wong will tell the story of an agent’s development from his struggles as a young agent to top producer in his agency in “Why Disability Income Insurance is Important in Your Life Insurance Practice.”
Jim Silbernagel will simulcast a special session of the Power Session LIVE webinar, “Fast and Furious Sales Ideas with Life Insurance Legends,” featuring icons such as Van Mueller, Marv Feldman and John Wheeler. Connie Kadansky’s “Prioritize Profitable Prospecting – Get Your “Ask” in Gear!” will talk about the five components of profitable prospecting and the four steps to overcome sales call reluctance. Marc Silverman’s session will focus on how an agent can obtain Top of the Table in “Prospecting and Marketing Your Way to the Top.”
These are just a few of the workshops available this September. The complete schedule of workshops can be found on the NAIFA Performance + Purpose Conference website at www.naifa.org/conference.
